Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty — Official Cinematic Trailer [Audio Description]

Secret agent Solomon Reed stands on an electronic billboard’s ledge in the busy megalopolis of Night City. He jumps and lands on top of a moving train. Inside the train, his long leather jacket transforms with a digital glitch effect into a short biker jacket. He takes a seat by a window, where Night City is seen moving further away. Via a communicator, he talks with his partner, So Mi, a netrunner working at her computer in a darkened room. The camera cuts between the two throughout the scene. During Reed & So Mi’s conversation, two other passengers sit on the other side of the aisle parallel to Reed. The Night City skyline is now small and distant through Reed’s window.

As she becomes less talkative, So Mi hacks into the train’s electronic system. She executes a final command and the lights flash off. Reed realizes the other passenger has a gun under their jacket. Suspicion raised, Reed stands and tries to open the doors at the back of the train compartment. They refuse to open. So Mi disconnects her earpiece and leaves Reed to an ambush lying in wait. Three attackers flank Reed. One holds a gun to the back of his head. The train enters a tunnel and is plunged into intermittent darkness. A fight breaks out. Reed has the upper hand at first, but the numbers overwhelm him and he’s shot three times. Short cut to black, then cut back to So Mi. Her face is tinged with sadness. Her hands hover over her keyboard, then slowly slip down to her lap. Cut to black.

Bold red text on screen reads: SEVEN YEARS LATER. Transition to a dark blue NEW UNITED STATES OF AMERICA space shuttle cruising over the Earth. Inside, So Mi, kitted out with high-tech cyberware, stares out the window as if in a trance. The other passenger, President Myers of the NUSA, gets her attention. Just as So Mi starts to reply, a rocket careens through the atmosphere & strikes the wing of the shuttle.
